A Very Different Mother's Day

We're inviting your church to participate in a unique Mother's Day event to support Opportunity International Australia.

Change a

Mother's life.

Most of us can think of someone who gave us a hand up in life, cheering us on and encouraging us to be the best we can be.
This Mother’s Day, you can do that for mothers in need.

A Very Different Mother’s Day encourages your church family to celebrate mothers all over the world.

By hosting a special event at your church on Mother's Day, you can share the stories of the incredible mothers we work alongside, giving their children a brighter future.

Any donations raised on Mother's Day can empower women and mothers globally, helping them build or grow their own small business, earn a reliable income and pave a pathway out of poverty.

If you’d like your church to be involved, please register for A Very Different Mothers Day. We’ll provide your church with resources to promote the event, a video to share on the day and plenty of tips and tricks to spread the word about how Opportunity is empowering mothers and supporting families living in poverty.

Meet Bhikhiben

When Bhikhiben was a teenager, her mother died. The eldest of five children in a poor, rural village in India, Bhikhiben had no choice but to quit school and become ‘mother’ to her siblings.

See how a small loan transformed her world.
